One of the most severe cases of sudden pain passing through your body which you do not know how to effectively cope with, can be caused by pain roots.
I would like to discuss the subject and encourage you all to prevent this disease. I will explain what to do, when you are already plagued by back pain and advise how to help the recovery process and reduce pain to minimum and eventually get rid of it. I will also briefly explain what are the symptoms and causes of ache caused by pain roots.

Root pain – Sciatic nerve – is bothersome due to its symptoms. A sudden pain that appears in the lower back, and can radiate to the foot, making it impossible not only to function normally, but to make any movement. It is also often accompanied by paresis of the lower limbs, tingling and difficulty in completing your physiological needs. The reason for these problems is pressure on the roots causing severe pain (neuralgia). There are many possible causes of neuralgia, such as intervertebral disc damage, skeletal muscle inflammation and oedema. The root swelling and inflammation are caused by the accumulation of deposits on the surface of the vertebrae, the damaged bone tissue and intervertebral discs.

Accumulation of deposits will not produce nagging symptoms straightaway. First, there may occur pain at night or in the morning, it will gradually develop into longer periods of time. An exacerbation is caused by a sudden increase in dead cells due to overload or cold.

Learn to deal with that.
Having a sudden attack of pain, you should lie down in the correct position. Lie on a hard surface on your back, slightly bend your knees and place a rolled blanket or pillow under your knees. You will ease any pressure in this position. It is advised to take a pain relieve and anti-inflammatory medication.
You can take both, however, remember to follow the instructions on prescription.
Applying heat on the sore place may also help to relieve the symptoms. It is good to have a hot water bottle or warming patches at home.
However, everybody reacts differently, so if the heat does not help you, after a few minutes, apply cool dressing. This allows your body to release endorphins – natural anesthetics substances.

It will bring relief from pain to some people, but may not work at all for the others. We should think about it and take good care of ourselves before it’s too late! It does not take much to improve your fitness level. Regularity of exercise is extremely important. What I mean by that, is stretching sore and stressed muscles. It will not to take you a lot of time, but undoubtedly bring relief to your body. You can get active by engaging in light exercises like swimming, running, or cycling. An indispensable element of good practice is full body massage or massaging chosen parts such as your back, buttocks or legs. I recommend a full body massage and invite you all who live or work in London and are in need of a good relaxation and relief for sore muscles to book a session with New Life Massage. Mobile massage London book it now!

I would like to take this opportunity of the following entry on my blog, to show you a couple of short videos illustrating deep tissue massage techniques and stretching, which can help to break free from back pain and eliminate the symptoms associated with sciatic nerve disease. I encourage you to share your experience here and tell us how sciatic nerve can affect your daily life and what are your ways of coping with this condition.

Victoria Mar 21 2011

I’m not really writing this, I’m still in “hands of relaxation”. My body feels wonderfully, stress & tension free – well over due!!! Highly recommend anyone to indulge in a deep tissue massage (as given by Marek). Wonderful, wonderful. Thank you.

Eve Apr 11 2011

Fantastic experience! I’m new to Thai massages and I was worried potential injuries from someone pulling and stretching my body. It turned out to be a great experience. I felt significant improvement in my flexibility and muscles stress. Marek is one of the best masseurs and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Thai massage experience.

Jenny Jun 04 2011

Deep tissue – Holistic massage can’t get any better than this. The treatment was very helpful in easing & soothing my tired and aching muscles… thus, alleviating physical strain from working all day. It leaves your body rejuvenated and feeling relaxed that you’re likely to be lost in an ocean of deep tranquility. Great benefit… Great experience… Great masseur! Thank you Marek!

Magdalena Jun 10 2011

Probably one of the best masseurs I’ve had in a long time. The therapist took his time and made sure I was happy. The massage was for a full an hour and felt amazing. Would definitely recommend. THANK YOU MAREK!

Zsuzsa Nov 24 2011

Thank you Marek for the great deep tissue massage, you’ve done an excellent job. I work as a beauty therapist in the spa and I know how important is for the client to be in great hands during treatment. You’re very talented masseur. See you soon. Zs x

Magie Dec 28 2011

Marek’s ability to pinpoint areas in need of work is incredible; his skills of releasing deep muscle tension is amazing. I was rather nervous about my first massage, but Marek is so friendly and professional, that I had a great experience. Thank you!

Alex Dec 28 2011

I would recommend Marek without hesitation for his massage therapy services. His skills and professionalism are of the highest level. Long lasting results. The treatment made me realise that massage is not a luxury, it is a must in our busy and stressful lives.

Patrick Jan 18 2012

I am an ex ice hockey player and had many treatments in my life. Marek’s massage was outstanding with many different strokes. When it comes to the best massage in London, I would definitely say, Marek and his magic hands!!!

Once again your arms gravitate towards the ground, the pain penetrates every muscle in your upper back, not allowing the free exercise routines, and chronic neck pain ruins your whole day. At every step, a stress paralyzed free thinking and making decisions in your life and does not allow for quiet moments of relaxation. Is it possible to counteract the illness without going to the doctor and carrying more pills? I will explain one way that might help you avoid and eliminate the ills you are facing. It is the indian head massage.

Indian head massage is a very effective treatment derived from the forms of traditional massage practiced in India as a family ritual for over a thousand years. When performing an Indian head massage, the head, face, neck, arms, shoulders, upper back are treated. Although Indian head massage was known in India for many years, its popularity grew in the Western World only recently. This massage concentrates on selected areas of the body, especially neck and shoulders (where stress affects the major muscles groups), often bringing instant relief.

Indian head massage originated in an ancient system of medicine, known as Ayurveda. It has been developed in the Himalayas by enlightened sages. Underlying philosophy of Ayurveda is the belief, that health results from a harmony within the human body.Ayurvedic theory asserts that holistic approach, which includes exercise, diet, meditation and massage with herbal essential oils, will help create harmony in all aspects of our lives.

Indian head massage is an established method of cleansing and healing the body. Its practice can achieve joy and inspiration. This tradition is still maintained in modern India. Indian head massage techniques are based on the ancient system of healing, which uses the upper chakras. The head, more than other parts of the body, represent our identity. This is who we are. They are the centre of the nervous system, the centre of intelligence and individuality.

Stimulating the chakra at the top of the head(Crown chakra), we connect with our higher consciousness.Head massage also relieves the symptoms of stress, i.e. in congested eye muscles causing headaches, neck and shoulders stiffness.

The skull is covered with a thin layer of muscles that tense up, when we are tense, resulting in headache, general anxiety. Indian head massage by relieving the scalp muscle tension improves blood circulation in the brain, eliminates anxiety and relaxes the whole body.

Shoulders, area along the spine, neck, face are energy centres, whose adequate stimulation may improve the health of the whole organism. The combination of rhythmic strokes can remove energy blockages in the meridians, align energy flow, induce a feeling of relief and tranquility.

I encourage everyone to express their opinions, and leave comments under the articles. I welcome entries, which will be related to the content of this blog or in the general massage. I appreciate the time that you spend to express your thoughts here.

Common belief is that anyone can be massaged regardless of age, sex and physical condition. I would like to highlight some exceptions here. There are many conditions which may make the massage treatment contraindicated, preventing a person from having the treatment. I strongly recommend to read this to be sure that a massage will be a pleasant time for us to relax and unwind, and not a cause of pain. Massage can not be performed to a person with a fever, acute inflammation of joints or muscles and when the patient is suffering from an advanced osteoporosis.

People suffering from skin diseases with blisters, eczema, as well as fresh wounds or scars should not undergo massage sessions. As for the internal medicine, the conditions which exclude having a massage are: peptic ulcer disease (bleeding ulcer), gallstones and kidney and inflammation of bile ducts and intestines. Other internist diseases which are contraindications for massage are: celiac disease (digestive disorders associated with gluten intolerance to be concluded by the grains), hernia, infection: pancreatitis, appendicitis, peritonitis, hepatitis, and parasitic diseases of the substrate.
When it comes to cardiovascular diseases, massage is not recommended for people who recently underwent heart attack (they must wait at least 2 weeks), have varicose veins with skin changes, blemish disease, severe peripheral vascular disease, or uncompensated heart failure.

Contraindications associated with the nervous system are: aneurysms, angiomas and hematoma, suspected meningococcal meningitis and found hematomas, aneurysms and angiomas. Massage should not be offered to people with known: nephrosis, renal tuberculosis, inflammation of the ureter and bladder of acute and suffering from pyelonephritis.

To summarize all the contraindications to massage, which preclude its implementation, I always recommend that you consult your GP. From my experience with my clients, I know that massage can be relieving physically and spiritually, a real treat for our body and mind. I’ve seen many people positively transformed immediately after the session. However, sometimes it takes a few sessions to see the beneficial results of massage.

Do you think of massage for yourself or friends? Not sure whether it is for you? Email me or call me, and I will be happy to help you unravel your doubts. I am convinced that massage is for you.

Massage for Everyone

Welcome to my Massage for Everyone blog.
This is my first blog about massage, in fact the first blog I have been ever writing.
My aim is to discuss the subject matter in an easy and accessible way, so that everyone can find something for themselves. I will be writing mainly about massage, but also about healthy lifestyle, relaxation, well-being; basically about anything which can help make our lives healthier and more satisfactory.

If you have already checked out my site, you know that it is dedicated completely to massage. I have been interested in massage for years. I became professional in 2009, when I passed ITEC exams (holistic massage & anatomy) at the City & Islington college in London. Later, I was developing my interest in different massage techniques, such as deep tissue, thai, indian head massage and trigger points technique. Needless to say, this is adventure has only just begun, and will develop and grow. Knowing that each of the techniques I learn is so beneficial to me and my clients. I love massage and I know that this is my way of life which I want to nourish and share with others, both on this blog and through providing massage treatments. If you have any suggestions or if you wish to share your own experience, you are welcome to participate in my blog Massage for Everyone.
